cuddlepuddle.app is a platform for booking professional platonic cuddling sessions in Lisbon. It connects certified cuddle therapists with people looking for a safe, structured environment for non-sexual touch and connection.
The idea came from seeing how isolated people can feel in a new city. Lisbon has a huge expat community, and while the social scene is active, there’s a gap when it comes to the kind of low-key, intentional human connection that doesn’t revolve around nightlife or dating.
The platform is built with SvelteKit and handles scheduling, therapist profiles, and session booking. The main challenge was designing a flow that feels warm and approachable while still being clear about boundaries and professionalism. Getting the tone right in the UI mattered more than any technical decision.
It’s still early days, but the response from both therapists and clients has been encouraging. Check it out at cuddlepuddle.app.
